Chill outdoor guy do chill things outside

On this channel you'll find videos about outdoor related mysteries & stories, always told with compassion. When I was 16, I learned what the Appalachian Trail was. Being an ambitious teenager, I decided that one day I was going to attempt the trek from Georgia to Maine. I realized that goal in 2018, and have hiked thousands of additional miles since. Canadian native, Greg Ovens, has been studying outdoor survival and bushcraft since the age of 12. He spent the past 30 years living among the Canadian Rocky Mountains in the Columbia Valley of British Columbia, where he enjoys testing his hunting, fishing, hiking, and bush-crafting skills. Being a drywaller by trade, combined with his passion for outdoors, it’s no surprise that he also prides himself in being able to build a shelter out of just about anything. Recently, Greg was on Season 3 of History Channel’s “Alone”, where he survived with no human contact for 51 days (over seven weeks) before hypothermia caught up with him in the Patagonian wilderness. He’s launching this channel with the video series, “30 Day Survival Challenge”, where he and Zachary Fowler (“Alone” Season 3 Winner) venture out into the Canadian Rockies of British Columbia, where the only rule is: if you want to eat, you have to catch and cook it. Please contact Greg on email or Facebook Messenger.

#SURVIVAL | OUTDOORS | HUNTING | FISHING | TRAPPING | HOMESTEADING | BUSHCRAFT | CAMPING | SPEARFISHING | TRAVEL | CAMPFIRE COOKING This channel is about the outdoors and adventure. Not just about survival, fishing, hunting, trapping, or even bushcraft, but about the whole process of procuring resources necessary for sustenance - wilderness living. I do not practice ‘catch and release’ or even ‘sport fishing.’ I do not “harvest.” Rather, I catch and keep, and consume what I catch. I would much prefer utilizing nature on my own accord because this gives me a much deeper respect for the animals. I also enjoy exploring, hiking, fishing, camping, camp fire cooking, exploring, and other crazy things like spearing fish, gigging, building ponds, really anything outside that is fun, I'm up for it, even travelling to new exciting locations to try exotic versions of the things I do around my home turf.
